Work is forging ahead on the new section of cycle path between Penns Lane and Eachelhurst Road. The vegetation has been cut back/removed from the whole of the route and the section between Eachelhurst Road and the Cricket pitch cleaned down ready to receive hardcore and edge kerbing. Fencing to the rear of Oldacre Close is expected to get underway next week and hedge laying is underway from the Eachelhurst Road end as the photo shows.

This week vegetation clearing has been completed and removal of topsoil commenced on the new section of route under construction to the north of Penns Lane, Sutton Coldfield.

The contractor is due to start the laying of edge kerbing next week (to retain the foundation of the new path) along with post and rail fencing to the exposed section of the route alongside the Ramada hotel grounds.
